How to Transfer or Share Data and Information Faster From one computer system to Another Without Stress
Transferring and Sharing of data and information for one computer system to another is now a major thing that is needed and essential to be done nowadays because of one reason or the other either in an organization or personally.
Some set of people that transfer and share data and information from one computer system to another computer system is really essential for are as follows:
*Student: Students are the major set of people that transferring and sharing of data and information are meant for because even lectures or teachers don’t really have time to be writing on board, they only come into class to explain and sometimes dictate. Due to advance in civilization and technology, we now have what we call softcopy which is usually in PDFs and Doc format for people to download and read online.
Student therefore needs to transfer and share softcopy of their reading materials among themselves to read and understand very well on their own and get ready for examinations. Softcopy actually helps also in the aspect of saving time and energy, widened the knowledge of students the more because of more explanation and writings it contains.
*Developer: Developers are also another set of people who are in need of sharing and transferring data and information from one computer system to another computer system. Examples of developers could be website developer and designer, application or software developer, game developer.
Developers might need to share source code among themselves to ease their works and save them from lot of stress from starting to write their codes from scratch which will surely take a lot of time.
Source code can be defined as Human-readable instructions in a programming language to be transformed into machine instructions by a compiler, assembler or other translator or to be carried out directly by an interpreter.
*Businessman: Businessmen also needs to share and transfer data and information from one computer system to another computer system in terms of sharing and discussing business ideas through the use of projector for presentations.
*Employers in an Organization: Employers in a very big organization will sometimes need to transfer and share data and information among themselves because of one reason or another in the organization where movement from one place to another might be difficult or far from one another.
How to Transfer or Share Data and Information from one Computer System to Another
There are so many methods that can be used in transferring or sharing of data and information from one computer system to another computer system.
Some of these methods are:
*Networking: Networking actually means when multiple computers and other devices are connected together to share information. Information and data can be transferred and shared through the help of networking especially within a particular organization or area.
There are two major types of networking which are as follows:
- LAN: LAN actually means Local Area Network which connects all of the computers in an office i.e. within a short range or area. To connect computers within an organization in which offices are not far from each other, we can achieve that through LAN
- WAN: WAN means Wide Area Network which connects all of the computers in a wider range or area than LAN. Message latency is much more of an issue on a WAN than on a LAN
- MAN: MAN is the acronym of Metropolitan Area Network which connects a large computer network usually spanning a city.
*Cables: Cables are long object usually a strong, large-diameter wire used to make a physical connection.
There are so different kind of cables can be used to share or transfer information and data from one computer system to another computer system. The most common and popular one used is known as the USB (Universal Serial Bus) Cable.
*External Storage devices: Storage devices are pieces of hardware whose main function is to store data. Example of external storage devices are hard drives, flash drives, zip drives, floppy disks, even memory card using memory card reader and some computers have memory slot embedded on it. Data and information can be shared and transferred using external storage device by first connecting it to one computer system and copy the files needed on it then later connect it to another computer system and copy from the storage device to it.
*Bluetooth: Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless personal area networks. Just as Bluetooth is being embedded on out smart phones, there are now computer system that has Bluetooth installed on them and there is an external Bluetooth device that can be used on a computer system that is not capable of using Bluetooth.
Bluetooth can be used to share, transfer and receive data and information from one computer system to another computer system provided that the Bluetooth visibility is working and switched on. This does not require much stress but might be slow in sharing or transferring when it comes to the aspect of large files.
